As of the afternoon of May 3, the Irish Republican Army consists of these battalions under German command (approx able bodied strenghs):
West Clare: 600 men 2 MG guards the Atlantic coast
Central Clare: 400 men 2 MG clustered around Ennis
East Clare: 350 men 2 MG
Limerick City: 600 (incl. support section) White 2 MG 2 IG
East Limerick 450 men 2 MG 2 IG on the right flank of the German Naval Division at Limerick
Central Limerick: 350 men 2 MG defending Foynes Supply Centerr
West Limerick: 650 men von Thoma 2 MG 2 IG part of Hell's Brigade
1st Kerry: 550 men 2 MG part of Hell's Brigade
2nd Kerry: 500 men 2 MG 2 companies defending Castleisland
3rd Kerry: 650 men (incl. support company) Rommel 2 MG
4th Kerry: newly formed at Waterville 300 men
North Cork: 500 men part of Hell's Brigade
West Cork: newly formed HQ at Bantry 350 men
1st Tipperary: 550 men (at Fethard with 16th Uhlan)
2nd Tipperary: 550 me (at Fethard with 16th Uhlan)
There is also about 600 Irish Volunteers from Clare, Galway, King's and Tipperary in southeastern Galway plus 150 men in Ballinasloe Company further north. Organization is in flux
Lastly there is Flynn's Sealgair Battalion at Bandon which is definitely not under German command. 500 men 1 MG
