Szulżuk (shuljzuk). The first word which sprang to my mind was, of course, Seldżuk. And yes, she said, her husband&#39;s family explained the name as being
descendants of said dynasty. I kindly (cough-cough) pointed out that the Seljuks had died out 800 years ago or so, and the founder of the line was probably
